No more illegal hoardings in Pune
In a move to do away with the illegal hoardings in Pune the civic administration had initiated a demolition drive. In five days the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation had brought down some six hundred hoardings. Additional commissioner of PCMC, Mr Prakash Kadam, has urged the citizens to not to set up such advertisements. The civic body has said that the move may attract legal penalty which will come under the provisions of the Maharashtra Prevention of Defacement of Property Act, 1995.
The administration also stated that the PCMC does not hand licences to set up such hoardings or banners or boards. Many hoardings in the Pimpri-Chinchwad area have come up recently during this Diwali.
