No Comments Sub Category:Uncategorized Posted On: Sep 19, 2011

The real-estate market is witnessing a low demand in Chandigarh, Mohali and also in Panchkula. The developers belonging to the townships on the fringes of Chandigarh has shown no remarks with the prices concerned. The most expensive recorded premium settlements till now is Ireo’s 200-acre integrated township that is under construction near the Panchkula-Kalka highway. This township has 250 square yard plots and are priced Rs 1 crore and 1,000 square yard plots are costing Rs 3.6 crore. The villas spread over 250 square yards are priced at almost Rs 2 crore in the same township.

The rising interest rates are not affected to the buyers for these steeply-priced properties located in the private townships. The civic infrastructure, educational institutions, hospitality, shopping and entertainment and many other options are provided by these townships. High interest rates of banks have burdened the property buyers instead. Real estate investor Salil Taneja reported saying that the present market scenario have hardly handful of buyers who are ready to invest at this kind of situation also. A 10-Marla plot in a Sector 15 in Chandigarh is now in a demand of Rs 4.5 crore for a single plot. However the Posh sectors of Panchkula is priced at Rs 9 crore for single plot.
