NOCs of realty projects in Juhu found proper
Real estate projects in Juhu whose no objection certificates (NOCs) were to be reviewed are found proper now. This is with reference to previous report which said No Objection Certificates (NOC) that were given to projects in Juhu will be reviewed again.
Authorities had also assured that the No Objection Certificates (NOC) that were given to the 120 projects including high rise properties in Juhu will be reviewed again. These incidents are happening after allegations made by some employees in Airport Authority of India (AAI) to close down the secondary runway to favour builders and developers.
Intelligence Bureau (IB) had begun investigation over the matter. It was also added that the permitted height for buildings around Juhu and Mumbai Airport was made common (56 metres) in August 2011. However, it was around 49 metres before.
The NOCs to the buildings near Juhu Airport is given by the aerodromes department and is given to all buildings near airports in the western region except for Mumbai Airport.
It is claimed that the increase in the permissible height for buildings around the airport might have created the impression that builders are getting undue gains.
