Noida to have two new Subways

The Noida Authority has announced its plan to construct two subways in Noida in an effort to decongest traffic in the city’s busiest areas . The first subway will be at City Centre Metro station and the second will be near sector 72. The former will cost around Rs 42 crore while the latter is estimated to cost somewhere Rs 37 crore. The project is expected to hit the floors next month once the tenders are processed.

Commuters in sector 72 in Noida extension experiences a lot of traffic through out the day in the area. The traffic in the area is also bound to grow in the near future as many residential projects are coming up in and around the area. Also the construction of the City Centre is under way, the project will come up as the biggest commercial centres in the NCR region. Therefore theĀ  traffic in area will grow manifolds. The subway near the City Centre Metro station will decongest the traffic along the Shivalik Marg going towards Dadri. It is also one of the busiest routes in the city. The proposed subway will link the inter-state bus terminus and run towards the old premises of the district hospital
