NRI investments boost Delhi real estate
Real estate market is in great demand among the NRIs as they are keen in investing in properties in the homeland.
As per the statistics, in the year of 2012, around 40% enquiries related to Delhi’s real estate was from the NRIs.
NRIs are also looking into investing in commercial properties along with residential properties. Localities such as Bhiwadi, Sohna road, Gurgaon Faridabad Road, Dwarka Expressway, KMP Expressway are in demand among the investors along with developed places like Gurgaon, Noida and Greater Noida.
In 2010, value at Dwarka Expressway Projects was approximately INR 2500 per sq ft. Later, 2012 it rose to around 7000 per sq ft for residential apartments.
Delhi real estate is rising in all terms; any area nearby Delhi is bound to get higher appreciation in the coming years and even Faridabad and Ghaziabad have become favorites for NRIs to invest.
Yamuna expressway is the latest investment destination. During June 2012, rupee fell by 20% against dollar which became a positive point for the NRIs to invest in Indian real estate. Promising returns with high appreciation of properties instigated the NRIs and attracted them to invest in Indian real estate market in cities like Gurgaon, Noida and Greater Noida.
