Paschimanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Ltd to come down heavily against defaulters in Noida
The Paschimanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Ltd (PVVNL) in Noida has issued a statement that any irregularities found in the payment of electric bills by the consumers will be looked upon harshly by the authority. The authority has said that it will cut down the power to erring consumers. It is reported that the power corporation is incurring huge financial losses as someĀ 17,000 houses have not paid their dues.
Officials have said that they had already given enough notices however has not seen any positive outcome therefore they are left with no choice but to initiate such stricter laws even after being given a three month respite by the One-Time Settlement Scheme. This disconnection drive will start from November 15. However the officials have said that they will go from house to house before the final step is being taken.Officials have also revealed that there are defaulters who have not paid their dues upto five thousand rupees.
