PE firms are finalizing investment deals before initiating fund raising
Many realty-focused funds started to close the investment deals before starting the fund raising program.
There are many firms who was locked deals before they set out to raise funds.
Most of the real estate focussed private equity funds have seen a paradigm shift in terms of fundraising. Nearly all of them are now locking deals or signing MoUs to demonstrate their ability to raise funds.
In the period of 2007-08 PE firms had invested approximately $4.39 billion in Indian real estate market.
Raising money for realty funds have become very difficult and it becomes an incentive if the PE firms can show the investors where their money would be invested.
