Pedestrian friendly road at Hyderabad
They call it “first pedestrian friendly road”! Yes, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has started their efforts of to convert a normal pathway into footpath with pedestrian facilities of international standard.
The Road No. 36, Jubilee Hills a model road with a footpath has been taken into consideration to convert as pedestrian-friendly road.
On pilot basis this project is expected to commence at the earliest.
The Jubliee hill road is considered much crucial as it has well connectivity to Hi-Tec City.
However, there are many concerns like; no footpath on the road, encroachments like transformers of apartments in Hyderabad, bus shelters and high tension lines.
