Police seals properties of two separatists
The properties of two separatists in Srinagar were sealed by the Jammu & Kashmir police for allegedly acquiring them using hawala money and by funding revolutionary activities.
Hurriyat leader Ghulam Mohammad Khan’s house at Channapora in Srinagar and two acre land and the house of Abdul Razaq Lone and his son, Abdul Hamid in Sopore are the properties that were sealed by the police.
Properties can be seized if there is sufficient proof that an accused has acquired them using illegal money or could use them for terror activities under the provisions of Unlawful Activities Prevention Act.
The police had registered a case against the father-son duo in 2009 too. It is not yet clear why they have not been arrested them yet.
