Private Equity Firms role play increasing in Indian Real Estate

Indian real estate has been witnessing investment from various private equity firms all across the globe. Similarly AIG Global Real Estate, a New York-based Private Equity firm (PE) had invested around 200 million dollar that will come upto Rs.1,000 crores comprising of five different construction projects in India. Previous year AIG Global Real Estate had launched a project in Bangalore and also similar construction project in Kolkata’s Rajarhat township and Ambuja Realty. Now AIG has decided to give a come back and has decided to sell its investment made during the year 2007 to a land in Kerala. Also AIG has a record for investing a 30 million dollar project in collaboration with Kerala state infrastructure body. Bangalore‘s real estate biggie RMZ Corp also had a combined project with AIG investing on Information Technology parks (IT) and also with hospitality projects in the city. India has welcomed back AIG to invest on residential projects in various cities.
