Project to sort water supply in Noida
Residents in Noida can finally rest the their water problems at bay as The Noida Industrial Development Authority (NIDA) has said that their Ganga water project will be completed soon. Officials have said that almost 70 percent of the project is done and the remaining work is just to construct underground reservoirs and laying pipelines for the distribution of water in the city. The authority has said that the project will be fully functional by 2013.
The project will help blend the ground water with the Ganga water and after that it will be released to the pipelines, instead of the hard water that is provided at present. The construction of the project has cost at Rs 320 crore. Also a Rs 130 crore water treatment plant is under-construction at Palla village in Noida.
