Rainfall threatening Chennaites Diwali this year

Rainfall is feasting over Chennai city, good amount of rainfall was witnessed this weekend and also the weather seems to be soothing the residents in the city. However this is taken over as a threat from the residents point of view, as Diwali is already started. The residents in Chennai are keeping their fingers crossed and praying hard for the rains to stop until Diwali is over, if the same humidity continues the residents have to spend Diwali dampened.

Only times has to decide what is awaiting ahead.  The deputy director general of the meteorological department Y E A Raj reported saying that they haven’t observed any depression in Bay of Bengal and coastal areas is sure to bear the consequences for whatever the weather will be in the coming week also. The rainfall in the city has created so much of chaos that the road restoration works have left half-way, frequent power cuts fluctuating and also prolonged traffic.

Chennai Metro Rail Limited officials also reported over this issue saying that their work will not be affected due to rainfall as they have already planned well in similar circumstances. Meanwhile the traffic department are also working on positive plans that would control the city traffic. The result after the rainfall is expected to fare well for the residents.
