Real estate promoters try to raise share liquidity
Almost every quarter Indian realty companies have no other go but to pledge more shares in a bid to raise their liquidity.
Hike in property prices combined with high interest rates seems to be giving tough fight in share investments.
According to the research conducted by ICICI direct, the percentage of real estate promoters in shares has seen a drastic increase from 9.1 percent to 9.5 percent during June and September quarter.
Also it has been learnt that the real estate promoters have started utilizing pledging of shares to avail loan on regular basis.
