Relief for the Landless People in Kochi within 5years.

The people of Kochi were relieved who had lost their land and their source of livelihood to reasons man-made and otherwise, the specially invited gathering was given title deeds to new plots of land by the state government.



Over nearly, 2,000 people included evictees who lost their land in Moolampilly for the Vallarpadam container terminal, those involved in the Chengara struggle and those from Tsumani-hit areas. The title deeds were distributed as a part of the 100-day action plan of the state government.

The revenue minister Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan reaffirmed the state government’s commitment towards implementing the Moolampilly package and announced that all issues faced by landless people would be resolved in the next five years. The state government will implement more programs for the welfare of the tribal. The profit from the two windmills that will be implemented in Attapadi will be exclusively used for the welfare of the tribal in the area”.
