Residential communities going dry in Bangalore

Bangalore, the city which was once rich with many residential communities can no longer take credit for the same!

One of the reasons being, many migrants seeking jobs in this vast city giving it a more professional view.

To take an initiative, the senior citizens of South Bangalore have decided to rebuild the old residential communities.

The people include federation of residents’ welfare associations (RWA) based at Padmanabhanagar now consists of 35 group of RWAs from Hosakerahalli to ISRO layout which is called Abhyudaya born in 2002.

They conduct meetings and redressal programmes to provide services to the localities. Even they call officials from Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Ltd. and Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike to the meetings.

They hope that some day these meetings will bear fruit and their voice will be heard.

    The initiative taken by the federation of residents welfare association in south Bangalore to rebuild the old residential areas is a positive one. However, funds to finance the projects are required and this is the major determining factor as to where the project will work out.
