Residents block expressway over power cuts
Angry residents have blocked the Gurgaon-Delhi Expressway due to power cuts which lasted for more than 10 hours on Tuesday morning.
Hundreds of people from several areas of Gurgaon protested against the prolonged power cuts in the range of 12-18 hours on Monday and Tuesday.
The agitation, during the peak hours, led to a massive seven-kilometre-long traffic jam on the expressway.
Earlier on late Monday night angry local residents of Sector 52, Wazirabad staged a protest against poor power supply and threw stones at the power station. The power station employees had to take shelter in the office premises.
