Residents of Coimbatore fear drinking water contains sewage

Residents in Coimbatore are on the verge of buying water as they fear that the supply water is contaminated.

Sukrawarpet, a colony in Coimbatore gets corporation water but the residents fear that it is contaminated and they have to spend a considerable amount on buying water.

The residents have even complained to the corporators and councillors but to no avail. They just come and visit the ward with no solution.

Due to this problem, residents are now complaining of health ailments. At an average of Rs 250 to Rs 300 a month is being spent on buying drinking water and also used for cooking.
