Residents of Sector 1 voiced their grievances

In an interaction meeting with the Corporator Latha Narasimhamurthy and the office-bearers of the residents’ welfare Association, the residents of Sector I voiced their grievances like stray dog menace, street light problem, overflowing drains and irregular collection of garbage and many other issues.

Sector 1 is the biggest sector in the entire HSR Layout, where the residents’ welfare association was launched in 1990 for the entire layout. Corporator Latha promises to do her best to solve residents grievances. Latha told the residents that she was happy to be the part of this meeting “which is one of the best platforms to know the grievance of the residents and to interact.” She also promised to try her level best to solve their problems as soon as possible. She promised that very soon an office of the corporator will be opened near New Lawrence School. “I have spoken to heads of concerned departments about whatever complaints I have received through phone and e-mails and tried to solve them.” added Latha.



Secretary H B Manjunath read out the annual report and presented the auditor’s report, which was distributed among the members. It was pointed out at the meeting that the number of RWA members has increased from 697 in 2008-09 to 866 at present. About the Federation meeting to be held at the weekend, she said: “We have invited the civic officials concerned to get things done soon. So I request all the residents to attend the meeting and put forward their problems.”
