Residents raise agitations over dumping ground

Protests are high in Kodungaiyur against Chennai Corporation over a dumping ground.
The residents urge the corporation to shift the yard to another place as it poses health hazard to whoever residing around.
They have also decided to make a human chain near the dumping place to initiate a protest.
Around nineteen residents welfare associations, have voiced out their objections for a decade now.
They also want the civic body to stick to the deadline of the yard’s expiry date, i.e, 2015.
