Road Widening approved in Pune city
Rajiv Gandhi Infotech Park at Hinjewadi in Pune is all set to get its road widened, with the expansion of three roads connecting the IT park and the same has been approved by the state government. Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) is rite now clearing cases concerned with land acquisition and soon after the same the corporation has decided to release funds for road construction works. The project estimation is Rs 91 lakh per hectare according to the prevailing market rates. The city roads are planned to be converted into four lane roads along with the facilitation of footpaths and street lights.
The raw material costs have been estimated to cost nearly Rs 44.07 crore. The MIDC official reported saying that a stretch of 1.75 km starting from Vinode Vasti to Tata junction via Laxmi chowk is alone expected to cost nearly Rs 20.61 crore, and the same has been approved by the state government. Overall MIDC will acquire 6.9 hectares of land in concern with the construct of a 2.3 kilometer road with 30 meter width and this country road is estimated to cost Rs 23.46 crore. The commuters can now glee upon with a new bunch of roads being added on in the city.
