The roads, footpath and the dividers of sector 53-56 needs to be strictly monitored, say residents. HUDA engineering team is now constructing a new footpath on both the side of the road but there is no perfect vigilance taking place.

Since the construction started, the residents of the adjoining sectors in Gurgaon complained that the work is going unmonitored. After many complaints from the residents, HUDA decided to construct the footpath and central verge on the road. This project is handed over to a local contractor.

The quality of the construction is also not been looked after by the HUDA authorities, complain the residents.

According to one of the HUDA officials, a fixed parameter for construction of the footpath is made and the contractors are following it. If there is any discrepancy in that, then proper action will be taken against the contractor.

The residents want the authority to have a regular check and visit the sites of the construction. Also. they should carry out surprise check for quality of construction material in all the sites where road repair and widening works are being undertaken.

After various complains, HUDA decided to zeroed down on carrying out repair work on seven roads in different sectors where the work of re-carpeting and central verge construction would be done in the next three months.

The total budget goes up to Rs 11.75 crore and now it is been declared that this budget will be for the seven roads in Sector 50/57, 32/38, 47/49, 46/47, 50/51, 50/57 and 38/39 and  road widening work will result in more road space for vehicles and ease traffic flow during rush hours.
