Road works not yet completed in Mumbai
The first phase of Rs 550-crore road project is almost nearing the deadline and huge number of tasks is left unfinished!
So, what next? The citizens of Mumbai should get ready to commute in the half done worn and torn out roads.
The civic body has admitted that at present there is 10 to 15 percent of major road projects are running behind schedule.
As of now the last deadline to complete the road project is May 15 with the extension of 15 days.
There are around 165 major roads that is to be concretised in which 38 of them come under island city, 75 under western suburbs and 52 in the eastern suburb areas.
However, the roads department officials claim that they are working in a fast pace to make way for sooth commuting.
