Sewage without drains causes fatalities
A major issue in Palavathimmanahalli village, belongs to Bangarpet’s Ward 20, is that many streets in this village do not possess underground drains.
As a consequence, streets regularly flow with sewage. In addition, garbage heaps dot the streets, making the village unhygienic and ripe for the breeding of diseases.
At least three children from Bangarpet town and nearby villages, were victims of dengue fever. Other dengue-related deaths are reported from Attigiri and Kanivekallu in Bangarpet taluk.
Governmental officers have neglected the conditions at Palavathimmanahalli, in spite of several deaths attributed to hygiene-related diseases.
