Sigh of relief for illegal and unauthorized buildings
Lokh sabha recently passed a Bill stating that it would grant a grace time of three more years for all the unauthorized and illegal buildings in Delhi. The walled city was on high alert carrying on back to back demolition drive.
The NCT of Delhi Laws (Special Provisions) Second Bill 2011 has taken responsibility of preventing the sealing and demolition of unauthorized structures till December 2011.
The commercial establishments running illegally in residential areas, furniture showrooms in Mehrauli-Gurgaon Road, Hauz Khas Village, slums, religious institutes and also hospitals are spared from the demolition drive at present.
