Abhay Pawar, MMRDA superintendent engineer reported saying that they have sold their advertising rights to a contractor and the BMC license is still yet to be received. The guidelines for installing hoardings on skywalks have been restricted from the government.
The Bandra residents of Mumbai have a different opinion of signboards defacing the city’s skyline. The area corporator Khan reported saying that the greetings of birthday and festive greetings is a depection of pompous show of shallow words and praises. Gandhigiri by politcians and their workers public places is upheld by the politicians. Lucky Hotel’s junction with SV Road in Bandra (W) has several large hoardings wishing Bandra MLA Baba Siddique on this birthday and also near the Bandra mosque. These hoardings are “illegal” as the Mumbai Metropolitan Regional Development Authority (MMRDA) is still awaiting for the license for display of hoardings. However, the residents of Mumbai are still looking forward for the concerned authorities to work on these issues at the earliest.
