propertiesNew Delhi- A new survey will be conducted by the North Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC) in order to increase the number of properties under tax net.

However, the deliberative wing of the civic body is not in favour to increase property taxes due to political compulsion factors. The corporation is further planning of alternatives which can fetch maximum number of properties under the tax net.

A private agency will be hired by the corporation officials which can conduct a survey and make reports of all the properties.

According to an official, a survey on all the properties in Delhi was done few days ago by a Delhi government agency and now they are looking forward to have their own data.

The official also stated that the private agency which will be hired will also rope in the relevant professionals to survey the properties.

The duty of the officials would be to survey the complete area of the property along with the built up area and factors concerning the parameters of the taxation. There are different categories of the properties which will be surveyed with a separate corpus of Rs 10 crore.
