Swiss audits Mumbai city Roads
Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has a collaboration with one of the international firm to improve the city road conditions in Mumbai. The civic officials in Mumbai reported saying that one of the Swiss firm by name SGS has come forward to plan the proper construction of Mumbai roads. This firm is said to be responsible for all the activities which come under the road construction including planning and execution. This was planned after the words given by the chief minister of Mumbai city, Prithviraj Chavan to the city municipal community. SGS is a Swizz based company which is said to be nearly 200 years old and this wing is said to have proved their developmental work over 60 countries all around the world successfully.
The additional municipal commissioner Aseem Gupta reported saying that this proposal was given to the municipal wing by the chief minister and very soon arrangements were made by the commissioner to implement this plan. The final estimation cost is yet to be decided and the date of starting this project will be announced at the earliest, he added. However this present auditory firm is pledging nearly twice the lesser amount and their work is said to be carried out once in every three months and daily check over the work will be continued till the end and the rough estimation is nearing Rs. 2 crores for this project and precautions have also been planned regarding the assurance of the temperature for road-laying and also proper check over the traffic is also planned well.
