Thane announces no tax hike in budget 2012-2013
The civic body’s annual budget for the year 2012-2013 has been finally declared in Thane.
This was announced with the delay in formation of the Thane Municipal Corporation’s (TMC) standing committee.
The 2012-2013 budget emphasis on environmental conservation and over all development of of the municipality in Thane.
An allocation of Rs2,275 crore with a 20 percent hike has been declared for the present year budget when compared to previous year.
The budget will be approved by the committee by the end of June and there are signs of prices being raised for properties in Thane.
However, in relief to Thane citizens there has been no hike in taxes this year and therefore it is termed as green budget!
Also, the TMC officials say that Thane city developments will be therefore based on advanced locality managements in Mumbai.
