The Red Ribbon Express creates awareness of HIV/AIDS
Chandigarh- The people of city are happy and welcomed “The Red Ribbon Express“. Students of Tricity schools and colleges performed bhangra and staged gidda and plays.
In 2010, “The Red Ribbon Express” arrived for the first time. This time total 8,266 people visited the train and 56 got themselves checked for sexually transmitted diseases.
Chandigarh State AIDS Control Society project director , Dr Vanita Gupta explained the motive of the third phase of this campaign which focused more on youth and women. She added that special efforts will also be taken by folk troupes to create awareness about HIV/AIDS.
