UD authority plays with buyers’ money!
More than 70000 people who had a dream of settling down in the hill station of Shimla have been disappointed by the authority.
Last year, Himachal Pradesh Housing and Urban Development Authority (HIMUDA) took Rs 5000 in cash from the interested buyers as an advance amount for survey for plots and flats.
However, till date there has not been a single allotment and the money also has not been returned back. The authority alleges that the funds collected is not enough to buy plots and allot them to 70000 people.
One of the political parties is planning to bring the issue against the local authority in the state assembly. The party fear it can be a land scam by the authority.
