State HighwayUP ‘s Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav introduces a huge plan for his state’s development. The city is planning to invest Rs. 23,000 crore to improve state highways and to build a new expressway which will link Lucknow and Agra.

On a three-day summit at Taj City, CM says that to help in the progress of industrial growth, infrastructure needs to be improved. He also said the new expressway, which also connects all the district headquarters will be made as four-lane wide highway.

Now, journey time from Agra to Lucknow takes more than six hours, while this proposed expressway will reduce it to three hours. Also, it is expected to cost around 9,500 crore for its making. After the Yamuna Expressway, which connects Agra and Noida, this will be the second high-speed road in the state.

CM added that his government is looking to develop an additional electricity generation capacity within next five years, which will have a capacity to fetch 16,000 mega watts of electricity, to get uninterrupted power supply in the state.

Along with Highways, he also mentions about airport, which he is planning to build up near Agra and Kushinagar on a public-private-partnership basis. Public-private partnership will make the industries more competitive and also will help in implementing many infrastructure projects.

He is planning to make his state as an investor-friendly business environment, by making effective policies and improvising the infrastructure.
