Water crisis hovers over metros

1 Comment Sub Category:Uncategorized Posted On: Feb 23, 2012

There is nothing new when we hear water level is lowering due to depleting ozone layer and other environmental constraints.

Due to high population, metros like Delhi and Mumbai have been facing with major water crisis and constraints in environment.

The topmost reason being the increase in population in all major cities. According to a report, at this moment India is on its way to urbanization at highest pace and it is expected that around 50% of the population might settle in cities by 2050.

There are many flaws in our system like sewage water is not being used for other purpose and also it is being used heavily during distribution.

In Delhi, water consumption is being increased by 3% and in Mumbai around 1300 MLD will be needed to meet the demand.
