Water-logging disturbs residents of Chennai
Residents in Nandambakkam, Chennai have been flooded by water flowing from Adyar river. Nearly 50 houses in this colony were flooded following two days of continuous rainfall.
The construction of runway across the Adyar river is traced to be the reason for the water-logging, leaving the construction work restrained due to the free flow of excess water.
The water level at Pammal, Nandambakkam and Pozhichallur increased only after the water released from Chembarambakkam reservoir. The constant rainfall is sure to hit lives of thousands of residents surviving in these localities.
