Water woes in South Mumbai
Residents in Mumbai will have to suffer from water woes as the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has announced that due to restoration works they wont be able to provide water supply in South Mumbai. The water supply may not be be revived for the next 24 hours. BMC has announced that they will undertake repair work of 1,450-mm Tansa west water pipeline. The pipeline has developed leakages and repair works have to be carried out immensely.
In a statement issued by the officials of the water department , it was said that there wont be any water supply to the pipeline from 10 am on Monday to Tuesday 4 am . The areas that won receive water supply are Grant Road and Mumbai Central railway stations and nearby areas, Sleater Road, Kasturba Hospital, Nair Hospital ,Haji Ali, Sane Guruji Marg and Tulsiwadi.
