Winners Of Housing Schemes 2014 Proclaimed By DDA

The housing scheme 2014 draw conducted by the Delhi Development Authority which was most expected by people came to an end on Tuesday. This left thousands of applicants with a euphoric feeling as there names were found in the list of those who landed flats. Those who were not in the list felt unlucky for not winning in the draw.

It was said by Balvinder Kumar, the vice chairman of DDA that in the record of flagship scheme that offered 25,040 in different categories across Delhi, it is the first time to receive 1,008,985 applications, which created a history. In spite of getting 1,008, 985 applications, the agency managed to wrap up the draw in 40 days which is a record time.

It is Manju Goel, the high court judge of Delhi, on whose supervision the draw was conducted. There were also DG Mahesh Chandra from Informatics Centre and Anshul Kumar, professor at Delhi Indian Institute of Technology.

Balvinder Kumar also added that, after 15 days there will be a camp held up at DDA’s headquarters where the process of documents authentication of successful claimants will be carried out. The demand-cum-allotment letter will be dispensed to the general applicants; subsequently the applicants who belong to the reserved category will be given out with the same once the verification of documents gets over. All the allottees will also be provided with an ID and password, so that they can check the status of their allotment process. The status will be updated to the allottees through SMS and Email.

The draw which commenced at the scheduled time at the DDA headquarters was finished within the duration of two hours, once the two seed numbers­—0355299 which referred the applicants and 03695 which referred the flats were completely fed in the automated and programmed system.

One of the applicants named Amit Roy, a private sector executive, was landed with a Janta Flat at New Kondli. Upon his success of the lucky draw, he was overjoyed and exclaimed that he was residing in a rented apartment since six years and now he is going to live in his own roof. He also added that he has applied for DDA Housing Scheme in the year 2011, but unfortunately he did not succeed at that time.
