Work towards better roads in Mumbai
The Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC) Mumbai, has finally woken up from its slumber after residents and members in the Opposition censured it severely for its inaction towards road repair. KDMC has finally started the work of restoring the roads in Dombivli. The stretch was a nightmare for motorists and many occasions of people being hurt due to bad roads have surfaced. Recently a woman died after falling from a bike due to bad roads.
The KDMC has already begun the work of filling the potholes in the Rajendra Prasad Road in Dombivli. Officials at the KDMC has said that the delay in the work was due to the monsoons. If they had started the work earlier the rains would have washed all the work away. They also informed that nine contractors have been assigned for the task, so that the work moves in a faster pace.
