Andhra Pradesh industry wants new Government to focus on development
The corporate bigwigs of Andhra Pradesh desire that the new Government, under the headship of Narendra Modi, should take up development issues as a top priority, to give the industry a substantial boost.
Talking about the people’s mandate in the two states, and sharing their views about the post-poll scenario, some of the Andhra industry’s big players – including GVK Infra, Cyient Ltd, Progress Software – said that they want that the new Government to focus on growth as well as development.
Pointing out that the result of the 2014 elections is a strong affirmation of India’s faith in democracy, GVK Reddy – founder chairman & managing director of GVK Power and Infrastructure Ltd – said that the corporate players are hopeful that the new Government will perform well, and will ensure the execution of economic policies which benefit the realty industry.
Voicing a similar opinion, C Shekar Reddy – president of the Confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Association of India (Credai) – said that the real estate sector is hopeful of getting its “due priority” from the new Government. Reddy also added that the realty sector expects the new Government to recognise the importance of potential employment generation.
Finally, with Andhra’s IT sector also having apparently followed the slogan of stability, growth and development, Ramesh Loganathan – president of software body ITsAP – said: “We look forward to working with the government to take the IT industry to even stronger position and get Hyderabad and the state to the top level.”
