HC Brings up PWD, DDA for Rao Tula Ram Flyover Case
The Delhi High Court finally brought up the PWD and DDA for not casing complaints regarding the using of a secondary route at the time of building three-lane flyover adjacent to the Rao Tula Ram flyover at RTR Marg.
A panel of justices, including Sidhhart Mridul and Badar Durrez got annoyed due to not complaining regarding the directions, previously. The work will be suspended as long as it disrupts the traffic to the airport and from the airport. DDA is ordered to stop illegal constructions immediately.
The court order also restrains DDA from cutting trees down during the flyover construction, without proper permissions from the officials. The directions were issued by the bench when the petitioner association signifying the local residents submitted a petition regarding the court order being transcended with the continuation of the illegal flyover construction. Previously, the Public Works Department had the court orders to carry out the project of building the flyover.
The court had also said that the secondary processes discussed for not congesting the traffic along the RTR Marg, a way to and from the airport. Especially at the T-junction that joins Nelson Mandela Marg and the Outer Ring Road should be functional in the next two weeks. This region is also the entry to the Ryan International School from Mehrauli Mahipalpur Road.
A report has been rendered as well regarding the use of the DDA road that connects the Mehrauli Mahipalpur Road with the NH-8. While diverting the road traffic, the authorities are granted with every possible rule that will help in this context. Any necessary route can be made operational just to de-congest the zone.
The authorities were also requested to de-congest to particular junctions after the motivating presentation of PWD, describing their plans to deflect the traffic the building of three lane flyover, adjacent to the former one at RTR Marg.
