Kiosks asked to be replaced by parking lots in Delhi
The Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (DSIIDC) during year 1998-2000 had constructed kiosks in the industrial as well as residential localities of east Delhi.
These kiosks are small shops which were to be allotted for small electric shops and photocopy shops.
However, even after few decades these kiosks are left unoccupied and today it is being used as shelter by slum dwellers in Delhi.
The residents staying in the surrounding apartments of Delhi have therefore requested the municipal authorities to clear these kiosks and pave way for parking slots which would serve better purpose for the citizens.
