Mumbai to witness 5% water shortage on Jan 21 and 22
On January 21 and 22, Mumbai will witness a water shortage of 5%. The water cut is due to the replacement of current and potential transformers of substation at Panjrapur.
Due to the replacement work, the pumping station will be shut down for two hours on these two days.
Less water will be supplied from Master Balancing Reservoir at Bhandup to A, B, C, D, E, G- North & South, H- East & West, K- East & West, P- North & South, R- North, South & Central in western suburbs and some wards in eastern suburbs in Mumbai city which will be 5% less than the normal supply.
These two days will witness low pressure of water and less duration of supply. So, residents of these wards are cautioned to preserve water beforehand. Citizen’s cooperation will facilitate BMC to provide efficient services in future.
