Q: How is the power situation in Peelamedu in Coimbatore?
My replies to this discussion
A. Hey, the power condition in Peelamedu was extremely bad from 2010 till half of last year. There would be 8 to 10 hour long power cuts, which disrupted everything in that area. It was not just Peelamedu that was affected, but also the rest of Tamil Nadu, especially the rural areas. But you don’t need to worry much as the condition has improved over the period of last year, with new power plants being set into motion. Alternative sources of energy like, solar energy and wind energy are being used to meet up the power demand of the state. Due to rising water levels in the Nilgiris and Pillur dams, hydro electricity generation has also increased.A. Q: How much would a 2 BHK or a 3 BHK apartment in Coimbatore cost me?
My replies to this discussion
Buying an apartment in Coimbatore will be most beneficial to you as the real estate market is blooming there. There are many upcoming new projects that you can invest in. Though not as expensive as Tier 1 cities in India, the market value of properties in Coimbatore is still on the rise, so this is the right time for you to invest in an apartment if you want to. You need to have around at least Rs. 75 lakhs if you want to buy really posh, luxury apartments in Purva Amaiti or Purva Bluemont. But on average a 3 BHK apartment in Coimbatore would cost around Rs. 30 – 50 lakhs.Buying an apartment in Coimbatore will be most beneficial to you as the real estate market is blooming there. Q: Is the locality Vadavalli in Coimbatore good for people looking to settle down and later spend their retirement life in the city?
My replies to this discussion
If you are looking to settle down in Coimbatore after your retirement, then Vadavalli will be an excellent choice. Being located on the foothills of the Western Ghats, it has pleasant weather throughout the year. Since it is essentially a residential area, the pollution levels are also low. It is centrally located in the city but still quite removed from all the noises bustle of city traffic. The locality provides all the basic necessities within itself. There are banks, supermarkets and good restaurants, complete with broad roads and a secure neighborhood. Q: How to pay property tax in Coimbatore?

It is very simple to pay for property tax in Coimbatore through the online payment portal in the official corporation website. All you need is the new assessment number (you will need to sign up to get this), either Google Chrome or Internet Explorer on your laptop or computer and a good internet connection. However, if you use this service there is an extra 1.85% and a service charge of 12.36% of the payment amount. After the payment, the original receipt will be sent to your address as mentioned during registration process, within 5 working days from the time of receiving the payment. It is very simple to pay for property tax in Coimbatore through the online payment portal in the official corporation website. Q: My husband and I are both senior citizens living in Chennai. We are thinking about moving to Coimbatore to get away from the noise of the city. What are peaceful residential localities where we can rent a 2BHK apartment for ourselves?
My replies to this discussion
Hello aunty, it’s a good decision to move to Coimbatore from Chennai. Since both of you are senior citizens, I would suggest that you stay in a colony, where you can get help immediately, whenever you need. You can go for the area of Thudiyalur, many good colonies have come up here and it is also a very peaceful locality. The average square foot rent for 2BHKs in this area is Rs 9, which is quite reasonable.Hello aunty, it’s a good decision to move to Coimbatore from Chennai. Aunty, I would suggest that you try out some places near the foothills region of Coimbatore. Kovaipudur is a pretty good area located in the foothills of the hills surrounding Coimbatore. The weather here is good, pollution is low and the air is better than in the hub of the city. Kovaipudur is really peaceful and apt for senior citizens like yourself and your husband to settle in. Q: Hey, I’m moving to Coimbatore this September. Is the locality of Selvapuram good for renting a 1/2BHK apartment? Can anyone tell me the average square foot price rate of the apartments in this area?
My replies to this discussion
Hey, the average rent here in Selvapuram is around Rs. 7-8/square foot. The available 2BHK apartments are quite big, with an area of around 1000 square feet. Selvapuram does not have that many properties at the moment, so you might want to try out other areas like R.S. Q: I'll be moving to Coimbatore in about a year's time. I want to stay in a good locality, so I was considering Nanjundapuram. I have heard about the Sowparnika Beetal project in that area. Can anyone give me more details? When can one take possession of the flats? What's the price of the flat, etc.?
My replies to this discussion
The Sowparnika Beetal project is still under construction and it will be ready for possession within roughly a year’s time. The location is prime, being pretty close to Tidel Park. If you’re working there, then it is even better. This project currently has 2 and 3BHKs available. The 2BHKs are around 1250 square feet in area and cost around Rs. 40 Lakhs. There are a total of 132 apartments available in this project and all of these apartments are Vaastu compliant. The Sowparnika Beetal project is still under construction and it will be ready for possession within roughly a year’s time. Q: I have a large family and so I'm looking for apartments offering 4 to 5 bedrooms in a good locality in Coimbatore. Can anyone give me a good idea about the TVH Vista Ville residential project in Trichy Road? I heard they're building 5 BHK apartments and the project will have several luxury facilities.
My replies to this discussion
Yeah, the villas are a bit expensive; the square foot price alone is Rs 10000, which is huge compared to that of the 3BHK apartment – Rs 4300. You can look through other large residential projects for your family in different parts of Coimbatore. Click on this link http://www.commonfloor.com/ongoing-projects-in-coimbatore, enter your requirements and search for the perfect house for your family.Yeah, the villas are a bit expensive; the square foot price alone is Rs 10000, which is huge compared to that of the 3BHK apartment – Rs 4300. Q: I need to buy a house in Saravanampatti. I’ve heard about the Jass Dwarka project there. Is it any good? Can anyone give any further information about when I can get possession of the house, square foot price, etc?
My replies to this discussion
Hey, the apartments available in the Jass Dwarka project are only 2bhks. So, check whether you will be okay with the apartments or not. The apartments are quite spacious on their own, so I don’t think there will be any problem. But still you should check once. You can look through the floor plans on the Commonfloor webpage for this project; just follow the link http://www.commonfloor.com/jass-dwaraka-coimbatore/povp-5zc6rv. Q: Hey. I’m planning to move to Coimbatore with my family and am interested in buying an apartment at Garden City. Could someone give me the details regarding its prices, availability, area details, security etc?
My replies to this discussion
Hey, this place is a gated community so you needn’t worry about anything. It has been built with an RCC structure that is supposed to be earthquake and fire resistant. The security is also pretty tight and they have an efficient maintenance staff as well. Other amenities would include health facilities, rainwater harvesting and intercom facilities.Hey, this place is a gated community so you needn’t worry about anything. Q: Hi, I am from Bangalore and am looking for an apartment to move into with my family in Coimbatore. The Annai Aarifa is one among my recommendations. Can somebody give me the details regarding the price, built-up area, etc?
My replies to this discussion
Hey, this is a fairly good choice. The Annais Aarifa is a venture that was undertaken by the Annai Builders Real Estate Private Limited. It is located on Thadagam road, close to the Coimbatore city neighbourhood. It would be very convenient for you to travel to and fro. The apartments available are 1, 2, and 3 BHK with a built-up area of 363, 547 and 942 sq.ft, respectively. The price per square foot is around Rs. 3200, although the overall prices seem to be on request. Q: Anyone can give me any updates about the Annai Lavanya on Thadgam Road? I was thinking of shifting my parents there. Thanks!
My replies to this discussion
Hey I agree, the Annai Lavanya is a good option. Though I would suggest that you look around a bit more for other apartments. You can use the Commonfloor website itself for your search. Just follow the link http://www.commonfloor.com/apartments and enter your search criteria. It is always good to compare a couple of options before making the final decision, especially where its about buying the correct house for your parents. Q: Will the Vardhana Constellations project be ready within a year? I will be moving to Coimbatore next March and I need to find the best property to invest in for me and my family. Please advice
My replies to this discussion
Hey, good choice! I think the Vardhana Constellations is an interesting upcoming project, and it also will be completed by the time you move to Coimbatore. The apartments are designed for Indian families, so there will be plenty of space. So if you’re looking for a larger apartment for your family, Vardhana Constellations is a good call. There 2, 3 and 4bhks, and the price range is also very affordable. Hey, good choice! Q: Hey, has anyone heard of the Nana Nani Phase III villas? I want to invest in a villa for my family, will this be a good investment?
My replies to this discussion
Yeah I have some information about the prices of these villas. So the 2bhks are smaller, obviously, just 1000 square feet. The 3bhks are bigger, as these villas cover 2 floors. The area of the 3bhk villa is about 1625 square feet and all the villas are priced at Rs 4900 per square foot. So the 2bhk will cost you Rs 49 lacs and the 3bhk will cost you Rs 80 lacs. Hi there, yeah I have heard of this project. In fact I was considering buying a villa under this project few months ago, so I have quite a bit of information regarding it. The villas are all 2 or 3bhk, and they are spacious and well-ventilated. So they are ideal for small or medium sized families. I think that this will be a good option for you if you have a small and compact family of around 3 or 4 members. I couldn’t go for it because there are 6 members in my family, and I felt it wouldn’t be big enough.Hi there, yeah I have heard of this project. Q: Any information on the Ramanis Coconut Grove project? Date of completion, apartment prices, bank approvals, etc? I was thinking of buying a home there.
My replies to this discussion
Yes I also agree with all these guys, the Ramanis Coconut Grove is definitely a very good property to invest in. If you’re looking for a family home there, then it is perfect, as it is an integrated township, and you will be getting almost everything within the community itself. If you’re planning to buy it for investment purposes, that’s also good, because you will find plenty of takers for such apartments and in a few years’ time this property will see a huge capital appreciation in the market. I agree, the properties under this project are looking really good. Both HDFC bank and ICICI bank have given their approvals for this project, so you can apply for a home loan to either of those two banks. In fact you can apply to any other bank for the home loan, as this is one really reliable project, as the developer of this project is the renowned Ishan Foundation. Q: Will it be a good investment choice to buy an apartment in the Sree Daksha Hreeva? Does anybody have any information regarding the price details, date of possession etc of this property?
My replies to this discussion
Hey, the Sree Daksha Hreeva is going to be a pretty impressive residential project, and I think investing here will be definitely a good business deal more than anything else. The best thing is that despite being located in Selvapuram, which is one of the major localities in Coimbatore, these apartments are quite affordable, the square foot price being just Rs 2950. This is quite a popular choice among buyers, so I would advise you to hurry up if you want to invest here. Q: Hey I heard that Coimbatore real estate is really doing well. Is it because of any new infrastructural developments around here? Is it a good time to invest in property now?
My replies to this discussion
Yeah the Coimbatore Tirupur Erode corridor is already affecting the real estate market quite a bit. I think by the time its completed we’ll get to see a further rise in property prices around these areas, especially Coimbatore, which is already the number one real estate market in south India. The development of this corridor will help in creating more jobs and there will be an influx of people from different parts of the country flocking towards Coimbatore. My replies to this discussion
Hi, yeah I think it is a good idea to invest in this project. First of all the location is just too good. I think living in Vadavalli will make up for any shortcomings that the project might have. Not that i see any though. There are no apartments, so if that’s what you’re looking for then you will be disappointed. But the villas and the rowhouses available under this project are pretty impressive. I’d suggest you to go take a look at them and see whether that’s what you want. Hey its a thumbs up from my side too. I think this project has pretty interesting apartments under it. I mean if I had to choose a residential project in Thudiyalur then this would be definitely my decision. The apartments are standard 1 and 2bhks. I think if you’re going to be buying for your family, then the 2bhk is the clear choice. Q: Has the construction work for the Manchester Sitara project started already? How much time will it take to be available? I’ll be moving to Coimbatore soon, so I was looking for a nice apartment complex to invest in. So will the Manchester Sitara be a reliable investment? Let me know, people!
My replies to this discussion
Hey there! Congratulations on moving to Coimbatore, I’m sure you’ll love this place. As for your home, I think you have made quite a good choice on your own. The usual amenities are provided, like gym, swimming pool, clubhouse facilities, 24 hour power back up and security.
Q: Hey, I heard that the corporation is improving the drainage system on the Mettupalayam Road? Is it true? How will that affect the localities around that area, especially during the rainy season?
My replies to this discussion
Yeah, it is true. Though the initial plan was to construct drains on both sides of the Mettupalayam Road, but that plan was scrapped and drainage system was built only on the eastern lane of the road. The encroachments along the road posed a problem, and it wasn’t possible to clear them out for the construction of the drainage systems on both sides of the road. Are you considering investing in real estate around this area? You should do so immediately before the construction of the drain on the other side of the road. Yeah, it is true. Q: How is the garbage disposal system in Coimbatore? I’ll be investing in real estate there, so I wanted to know how the waste disposal system is. Anybody has any information?
My replies to this discussion
Hey, yeah you’re right about that solid waste management system that was started in Coimbatore. But it hasn’t been too effective as of yet. The funds allocated haven’t been enough apparently, all the citizens have not yet received the white and green garbage bins, there is a shortage of garbage pushcarts and garbage bins on the roads. Also, the number of vehicles that the system thought of employing for the transmit and dumping of garbage is not enough. There is Rs 45 lacs more that the Union Government allocated this project, which will be used soon enough to make the whole system better. Q: A while back I heard about some plans to introduce metro rail and renovate the airport in Coimbatore. Are they really doing it?
My replies to this discussion
Hello there, I can help you out with that information. Yes, a proposal has been put forward by the government for the metro rail project. Talks of this project have actually been going on since the five year plan for 2012-17, which includes mono rail connectivity between Chennai and tier-II cities across Tamil Nadu. The government said that this project will most likely consist of a medium duty metro rail system that could carry up to 40,000 passengers per hour. This type of trains are also considerably fast, verifiably safe and highly reliable.Hello there, I can help you out with that information. Q: Guys I'm curious to know what the status of the Nanjundapuram Sewage Treatment Plant is..I know its been going on since 2008...has it been finished yet?
My replies to this discussion
Hey people the work on the sewage treatment plant has again been held. Its been too long now. Actually the people there are protesting that the construction of the STP is not according to the conditions stated by the Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board. Earlier, the TNPCB laid down the conditions that the C-tech basin should be moved away from the residential areas, the height of the compound should be increased, and odour mitigation system should be installed, and the diesel generator capacity should be increased from 750 kVA to 1250 kVA.Hey people the work on the sewage treatment plant has again been held. Q: I heard there's a plan for proper sewage disposal at Selvapuram? Is this civic issue no longer a problem? How will this affect real estate in the area?
My replies to this discussion
Yes, it is a known fact that Coimbatore has been facing water shortage recently. The aim of the project is to be able to regenerate ground water so that it can be used. But obviously, there are a number of pollutants in the lake, so it must be cleaned up. And the Selvachinthamani Lake in Selvapuram is the first one to be chosen by the Municipal Corporation to get a fence built around it and decentralized water treatment at the lakes main inlet! This is a very good thing for Coimbatore because the reclaiming of natural resources such as urban sources of water, will attract property buyers and environmentalists!Yes, it is a known fact that Coimbatore has been facing water shortage recently. Q: Hello. I will be moving to Ganapathy locality soon. As i am very particular about rain water harvesting,I want to know if the issue has been taken seriously in the area or not.
My replies to this discussion
To add to what you have said, there are also orders from the state government to the corporation to start a large scale campaign that can facilitate the promotion of rain water harvesting in urban settlements. There was a survey organized by corporation officials recently to be able to identify the RWH structures in about 100 wards across Coimbatore. This has helped to issue notices to the structures that are not competent enough or do not offer any functionality for the purpose of rainwater harvesting. So far, 243 structures have been covered and the entire corporation area is expected to be covered by the civic body’s list of RWH facilities. Q: I keep hearing that Sai Baba colony in Coimbatore is a great place to invest in. But then why do I keep reading about the bad civic issues the locality faces? Anyone has more information on this? Is it a good choice getting an apartment here?
My replies to this discussion
haha. I don't think anybody does. That underground drainage work i think really affected the residents of sai baba colony. Roads have been closed as a result, people had to take many diversions. The stink in the area was unbearable at some point but now thankfully it is much better. Lack of trees and greenery and lack of street lights are other problems of the area. I'm pretty sure the residents raised these concerns with the mayor and it should be rectified soon. I still suggest you go in for an apartment here because property value here will definitely see a rise in the coming future! :)haha. I don't think anybody does. Q: I read an article recently that said that Vadavalli is a promising locality to invest in real estate. Can anyone tell me if Vadavalli will give me good investment returns based on what the locality has to offer?
My replies to this discussion
Vaduvalli is the suburban region of Coimbatore and that itself means that it is good locality. This place have above average literacy rates. Men are 78% literate, and women are 74% literate. That automatically means that the number of persons in this locality employed, is greater than any other place in Coimbatore. because of this this locality has a number of offices and residential apartments. Many investors are also investing in infrastructural projects here and there is lot of scope for devlopment. Q: Hey, what are the changes the ICCI are demanding from the government for the city of Coimbatore? I will be investing in property in Coimbatore soon, so needed to be aware of all these bits of information
My replies to this discussion
Basically the Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry is going for a Greater Coimbatore Development Authority, similar to the counterparts in Chennai and Hyderabad. They feel that since it is the second largest city in Tamil Nadu, and also a major economic hub of the country, it calls for a better development board, on par with some of the major cities of the country. The original master plan which was passed almost 20 years back, they have asked the government to revise it with provisions for proper city planning. Q: Hey guys, what’s the status of the scheme roads here in Coimbatore? Any progress?
My replies to this discussion
See the thing is the area that has been proposed for the scheme roads, there already are existing roads and pathways. Now the corporation first task should be to acquire those lands. That shouldn’t be too difficult, because I’ve even heard news that a certain landowner here has even agreed to gift his land to the corporation without any compensation. I agree with all those civic activists who are saying that the corporation should get started with building the scheme roads on whatever land they are able to acquire. Q: I got the news that the Coimbatore Corporation will have to clean a number of tanks on some priority basis? I’d like to know more about this please. Anyone?
My replies to this discussion
Guys, the final tank is at Selva Chinthamani. These three are going to be done by the corporation itself. They are basically taking responsibility to clean and maintain these tanks. Their budget is Rs 27.45 crore. 60% of this money has been loaned, 30% is subsidy, and 10% is a generous contribution. The state and central governments are also going to help out in the maintenance of other tanks in the city like Krishnampathy, Kumarasamy, Singanullur etc. So the Coimbatore Corporation decided to go ahead with these three on their own. Q: How is the current drainage condition of the city looking with the impending monsoons? Is it all good, or do we have the risk of waterlogging? I’m especially interested in areas like Arun Nagar, Tipu Nagar etc
My replies to this discussion
I completely agree with you. We need these natural drains properly functioning. They can carry the run-off water from the roads and the storm water drains. But, keeping the condition of these natural drains in mind, I don’t think we have much scope for naturally reducing water stagnation in the city. Most of these natural drains are completely clogged up and will be of no use or help to carry the rain water into the tanks placed across the city.I completely agree with you. Q: Hi friends I am moving very close to Thaneerpandal and I want to know about the drinking water scheme on the Thaneerpandal road that started ages ago. Also any major civic issues this locality faces?
My replies to this discussion
All that is very nice but what about the heavy traffic on Vilankurichi road that is extremely annoying to commuters? Even some work needs to be undertaken on this road. We need a bridge in this area most definitely. The Railway Over Bridge planned in Peelamedu seriously needs to be completed. It's been more than 3 years since this project was supposed to be underway but nothing has happened yet because apparently NABARD has not allocated the funds worth 30.5 crore. Even an alternative route has not been planned yet by the authorities during the onset of this project. If this railway over bridge is there, it will be so helpful for the 50,000 residents living in Thaneerpandal, Cheran Maa Nagar, and Vilankurichi. All that is very nice but what about the heavy traffic on Vilankurichi road that is extremely annoying to commuters? Q: Hello people! What do you think of the apartments at Crimson Dawn in Avinashi road. My colleagues and I were talking about investing in Avinashi road, and someone brought up about this property. Is it a good place to invest my money in?
My replies to this discussion
Yea, ofcourse good place if your budget is higher. Because, this is not brand new property. The builders sold the apartments by 2011 itself. So, most of the for sale apartments now are sold by individual owners, may be only few by builder, I’m not completely sure. Actually, Avinashi road has too many options in the same range, so it gets a little confusing to give you a simple yes or no answer, you know. Yea, ofcourse good place if your budget is higher. Q: Hey, I recently bought an individual house in Avinashi Road. I currently stay in R.S Puram, and I will be shifting to this house in Avinashi road in a month or two. I recently heard of some sewage water issue in the area, which is causing a bit of an inconvenience for the residents there. I have two little kids and I don't want them to fall sick due to unclean water in the area. If someone can tell me about this issue about the sewage water, it’ll really help me make a better decision if it is the right time to move or not. Thanks!

Well, it’s not just Avinashi road, nearby areas like Lakshmi Garden, Anbu Nagar, etc are also affected by this problem. But, I hear the PWD did not make that hole. Why would they?. They are the ones who constructed the check dam for our safety. However, I think they shouldn't just let the matter sit quietly, they should punish idiots who did such a thing and quickly do something to repair these damages. Q: Hey all! I wanted some information on how the infrastructure in and around Avinashi road is. Planning to invest in this locality. Just wanted a little idea about the infrastructure of this area to make an informed decision.
My replies to this discussion
If I talk about infrastructure in this area, first thing are the roads. Basically, Avinashi road is located along the Coimbatore Bypass, so everybody who enters Coimbatore from the North-East and East crosses Avinashi Road it joins the National Highway. Due to this it is well maintained, at least majority of it is well maintained. Also, you have the Peelamedu railway station, this feature definitely adds to the real estate growth of this area. My replies to this discussion
Hi, Pricol Auburn Terra is in Ramanathapuram, off the Trichy road, behind the Gem Hospital. The project’s name is Auburn Terra, it’s by these Pricol property builders. They are very reputed in Coimbatore with many projects, successful ones, you know. You know how other cities are coming up with huge apartment complexes, Coimbatore is trending more with these premium apartments. Very quiet and luxurious living. Q: Hey guys, a friend of mine is moving from Vishakapatnam to Coimbatore with his family. He wants to invest in a property in Ramanathapuram. I've been helping him narrow down properties. Now, we are confused between 2 properties - Elysium Gardenia and Triumph City Palms. Please tell me which one is better in terms of area in Ramanathapuram, better builder, price, amenities, basically anything and everything you can think of. Thank you very much.
My replies to this discussion
I don’t really agree with that prediction. Elysium properties are good, and if they are well maintained then prices will still go up with the locality. If you see rent wise, apartments in Elysium Gardenia are renting out at an average of Rs.22,000. It is much lesser in Triumph City. Also, amenities wise, I don’t think there’s any confusion, both are providing normal amenities. If Triumph has tennis court, then Gardenia has fully automatic laundry machines attached in the stilt floors for residents to use. It all comes down to your budget man. Both are similar properties, but almost 20 lacs price difference. I hope you can make a decision, good luck manI don’t really agree with that prediction. Q: People, which locality is better - Avinashi road or Ramanathapuram for a young couple to stay?
My replies to this discussion
Ramanathapuram is mainly just residential area. There are places of basic amenities around, but if you are looking for an array of restaurants, good multiplex theaters, malls, branded stores for shopping, etc, then Avinashi road will be a more ideal place.Ramanathapuram is mainly just residential area. Q: What is the per sqft price offered by Sakthi Phase-II in Gv residency. Also, how much will the apartment price be?
My replies to this discussion
They have 1-4 BHKs, so if you take 4,900 per sqft, you will pay maximum 40 Lacs for a 1 BHK, 79 lacs for a 2 BHK. 3 BHK will cost you anywhere around 93 lacs - 1.10 crore. 4 BHks are only like 200 sqft bigger than 3 BHKs, so may 2-3 lacs extra.

Q: Hey, are the roads within the Neelambur area and the connecting areas good? I will be travelling everyday from Neelambur to Avinashi Road for work. Just want to make sure the roads are commutable.

Q: Hey, I currently live in Coimbatore alone in a company provided 1 BHK house. My family is planning to come and live here with me, since my rotation is extended to 2 years here. I have two kids, a wife, and a father who will be moving here. Avinashi road is close to my office and I want to rent a flat in that area only. I will actually prefer 2 or 3 BHK in gated community, but other apartments will also be fine if they are good. I want to know about the prices there and nice gated communities where I can rent place. Thank you!
My replies to this discussion
Avinashi road is a nice area for your family. Very lively and peaceful at the same time. Good decision on renting a place here. You said you want a place in gated communities, right? Well, you know that renting apartments in gated community is expensive compared to individual houses or in multi story buildings. I am sure you must have thought of it. Anyways, you will easily find a place to rent here, many to let boards put up in front of places and also on internet, you might not need an agent also.Avinashi road is a nice area for your family. Q: Guys, recently heard from a friend that there’s some disgusting stinky foam near the Sundapalayam road? My niece goes to school via that Sundapalayam road. What is this foam thing really? Is it dangerous?
My replies to this discussion
The thing stinks of sewage. And it isn’t just a one-time issue. Every monsoon, the issue arises. From June to December. True people in their homes in Vedapatti aren’t affected. But, if you have cross Sundapalayam road area then it’s just so bad. The foam comes flying if there’s too much wind. Can;t imagine what infections it might cause. The thing stinks of sewage. Q: Need information on the transport system and infrastructure in R S Puram, Coimbatore.
My replies to this discussion
Hey! As you may know, apart from being a residential area, R S Puram is also a well established commercial hub in Coimbatore. It is home to multi-national commercial establishments, government offices, reputed educational instituitions, IT and mobile companies, tourist spots, cultural centers, restaurants and shopping complexes. A well planned area with DB Road as spot on centre, it is situated between Mettupalayam Road (east) and Thadagam Road (west). Public transport is not a problem here, as there are around 20 bus stations and 3 railways stations in proximity of R S Puram, other than the numerous rickshaw stands. There are also plenty of residential projects (completedand upcoming) owingto thelarge floating population in the locality. Hey! Q: Need information on newly constructed or upcoming residential projects in Peelamedu. Properties that have all the amenities like a swimming pool, gym, play area etc. Also what would be the cost for a 3bhk?
My replies to this discussion
Peelamedu is a great choice for investing in property as many developers have set up construction for upmarket residential projects that provide all the amenities. Projects like the Sankar Shree Ramam is apparently a mega residential project that is just off Avanashi Road. The developers are apparently boasting that the project will have a swimming pool, a large clubhouse and even a mini-cinema theatre. I'm not sure when the project will get completed. Even the price is on request. But you should defintely check out this property. The appreciation will be pretty high in the future. I'm not sure about the prices but you can also go and check out TVH Ekanta and A V Indraprastha. Q: Hi, I'm Rajeev. I work as a city planner. I'm concerned about the lack of infrastructure in most of the localities in Coimbatore. But I am particularly interested with the shape of things in one the most prime localities in Coimbatore, namely, Singanallur. Are the administration in Singanallur taking any effective steps to tackle the heavy traffic congestion and water woes that hamper the everyday life of it's residents?
My replies to this discussion
Hey Rajeev. That's a good question. Dealing with such issues has always been on the government's agenda, in the past as well. However, their plans take their own sweet time to unravel. However, there seems to be a solution to solve the water crisis in Singanallur and the areas in and around it, such as Varadharajapura. The Corporation Corp plans to finish the work on the pipeline that runs from the main reservoir in Ganapathy to the water tanks of Peelamedu, Avarampalayam and other areas. This in turn will increase the water supply of Singanallur. So there are a few efforts being made. I also heard they were planning to widen the roads in Singanallur. My replies to this discussion
Basically you want info on the stretch of the road starting from Madukarai and through Palakkad road, Mettupalayam road, Perur road and Marudamalai road. Actually the construction work of this road is still happening, so much progress hasnt been made on the real estate front or even development-wise. I think the social infrastructure of the place should also be considered. Q: Hey there everyone, I am planning to shift to Arasur in Coimbatore. Can anyone give some information about the locality of this place so that I can get an idea how the place is actually. Thanks.

My comments to replies
Hey, the social infrastructure of this locality is not that bad actually. You can see that the Government Higher Secondary School is located here. Most of the children of this locality go to this school only. Then there is also some other school nearby like the MNM High school, Valasupalayam elementary school etc.
Look I know there are no good colleges and all in this locality. But, yes, you can easily access some of them especially, the Sri Eshwar College of Engineering, Akshay College of Engineering, Coimbatore Marine college etc. The health infrastructure is also quite poor here. if you need to access some hospital, the nearest one will be the Primary Health Centre, Poolavadi or the Primary Health Centre, Thamaraikulam or some hospitals in Kinathukadavu etc.

My replies to this discussion
Did you know that the current average property prices in the locality are around Rs 2800 per sq ft, and that in my opinion is quite good. The main reason behind the low prices can be attributed to the fact that the locality is at some distance from the city.
