The water here got severely polluted, mainly because of the failure of the 722 crore Musi river front project. There were 5 STPs to be installed as per the project, out of which three at Attapur, Nagole and Amberpet major ones were not functioning efficiently. Hey this project seems to be in a very good location. Shamshabad is where the international airport is. Also this area is pollution free, very clean and there's lot of fresh air. Realty prices are higher in Vijaywada than in Hyderabad as of now. Similar incident happened in Shamshabad. When new airport came up, many people had bought cheap land thinking it will be good for investment. But then prices appreciated only for a short while and again there was inactivity. I used to stay in Ashok Nagar. And i relocated from there 3 years ago. Because from my 5th floor residence, it looked onto a massive open drain that bred mosquitoes, caused illnesses, malarai, and water borne diseases. And very horrible smell used to come. Last week because of the rains, several arterial roads choked with heavy morning traffic, peak hour time, and the traffic had to move so slowly to avoid potholes. Real estate market in the city has been volatile for a year now. We were expecting a lot from the new government, but it has not happened even with our CM announced several packages like single window clearance for the industries. Hey, actually the locality is fine, but lately the power fluctuation has been a serious issue here. There has been some power deficiency in the whole of Hyderabad. Nehru Nagar had some 2 hour long power cuts. Usually power cuts were reserved for the months of summer. There's one more thing missing here. This project is approved by the Directorate of Township and City Planning (DTCP) which suggest that this is pretty legit as far as its authenticity goes.
